At BOLD, we design and build the next generation of high-performance battery systems for the world’s most demanding industries — from Formula 1 and hypercars to aerospace, marine and defense. Our mission: to deliver energy systems where every millisecond and every degree matter.
As a
Product Engineer, you will Contribute to the purpose of the organization by leading the technical definition and implementation of battery pack production lines, ensuring efficient, robust industrial processes aligned with the required quality, safety and scalability standards for high-performance electrification projects.
What You’ll Do
Industrialisation and production lines
- Define the technical concept of battery pack production lines, from prototypes to niche-volume production.
- Develop the process architecture for assembly, welding and end-of-line (EOL) operations.
- Ensure industrial solutions meet quality, safety and scalability requirements.
- Participate in defining the plant layout and production flow.
- Provide technical support during line commissioning and stabilisation phases.
Collaboration with engineering and product design
- Work closely with engineering teams to influence product design from a manufacturability perspective.
- Propose design improvements aimed at increasing production efficiency, quality and cost optimisation.
- Align product specifications with actual manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate in the definition of fixtures, tooling and handling systems.
- Identify industrialisation risks at early stages of product development.
Supplier and integrator management
- Coordinate with specialised suppliers and automation integrators.
- Participate in the technical definition of equipment and automation specifications.
- Provide technical support during equipment manufacturing, installation and validation.
- Ensure proper integration of automated and semi-automated systems.
- Validate technical solutions from an industrial and quality standpoint.
Quality, processes and continuous improvement
- Ensure production processes comply with applicable quality standards (IATF 16949 or equivalent).
- Implement quality control and traceability systems within the production line.
- Collaborate in the definition of control plans and process validation activities.
- Propose continuous improvement actions to increase efficiency, reliability and repeatability.
- Support the resolution of technical issues arising during production.
