As hardware systems for the next generation of automotive connectivity and computing platforms grow in complexity, the prototypes production team working close to our engineering team has become a decisive factor in being able to accelerate the timing between development and production phases, to cover the market needs in the quickest way possible. “The ideal candidate is curious to dig deep into how our hardware products work, is able to understand complex electronic designs and is a team player who is not afraid to challenge the boundaries of their current position, interacting closely with the development team” MAIN FUNCTIONS Collaborate on design of semi-automated end-of-line tests systems. Lead assembly, maintenance and continuous improvement activities of semi-automated end-of-line tests systems. Improve testing systems for existing products by adding capabilities and expanding test coverage, among others. Define timelines, milestones, and testing requirements for new product prototypes in the early phases of their introduction into the Technica portfolio. Generate technical documentation for test equipment, including user manuals, test coverage reports, and verification guides. Generate production reports using statistical tools to track KPIs and identify manufacturing issues. Analyse PCBA schematics and understand full product functionality to diagnose failures and repair line rejects. Provide technical production validation support to cross-functional team members (HW/SW). Provide technical support to HW/SW team members on design for testing and design for manufacturing (DFT / DFM) topics. For additional information in case you want to know more about us, check our website: https://technica-engineering.de/en/ SKILLS Proven Production Process/Test Engineer experience in automotive, telecom or industry markets. Automotive production experience is not a must. Strong production background and desirable previous experience on interaction between development and production teams. Basic electronics understanding is mandatory – capability to understand schematics and identify easily electronics manufacturing defects. Basic knowledge of different communication bus interfaces used in electronic embedded systems: I2C, SPI, CAN, CAND-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, etc., is desirable. Knowledge of how to optimize circuit design for ease of manufacturing processes and electronics testing (DFM / DFT) is desirable. Precise soldering skills (SMD components, fine pitch ICs). Experience developing test sequences with NI Test Stand or any other test automation frameworks. Experience in programming languages like Python, C#, etc., used for instrumentation control or communication with embedded systems in a manufacturing test environment. Experience with mechanical prototyping processes: 3D printing (FDM/SLA), vacuum casting and rapid tooling is desirable. Quick learner with ability to grasp complex tech concepts without deep detail. Collaborative and patient, able to build strong cross-functional relationships. Able to prioritize and multitask under pressure in an autonomous way. Highly detail-oriented person with a passion for being proactive in finding solutions. Fluency in local languages and working fluency in English is a must.
