Role Description

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Remote Production Manager to support a Signarama franchise in Plano, Texas.

This role manages the daily flow of custom signage projects from customer inquiry, quoting, artwork approval, and work order creation through production, installation coordination, and completion. The Production Manager will work closely with owners, customers, designers, on-site production staff, installers, suppliers, and outside vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily production schedules, job priorities, deadlines, rush requests, and workflow updates.
• Handle customer inquiries, quotes, follow ups, job updates, and production related communication.
• Review artwork, proofs, work orders, dimensions, materials, colors, quantities, and production instructions before jobs are released.
• Coordinate design, printing, finishing, fabrication, installation, delivery, and vendor produced work.
• Maintain accurate job records, customer approvals, work orders, production notes, and status updates.
• Ensure link consistently accurately, on time, and in line with approved artwork and customer requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues involving artwork, production readiness, materials, quality, vendor lead times, or installation requirements.
• Coordinate with on-site staff on daily priorities, job instructions, quality control requirements, and completion updates.
• Monitor material and inventory needs; coordinate with suppliers and outside vendors as needed.
• Support workflow improvements that reduce errors, rework, delays, and material waste.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in sign production, large-format printing, graphics production, commercial printing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of custom sign-shop workflows, including artwork approval, printing, vinyl graphics, laminating, cutting, mounting, finishing, and installation preparation.
• Experience preparing quotes, managing multiple customer projects, and coordinating production deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software.
• Familiarity with job tracking, CRM, estimating production workflow, or RIP software is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, problem solving, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to work independently during business hours aligned with Plano, Texas.

Role Scope

This is a remote operations and coordination role. The Production Manager will oversee communication, quoting, workflow, scheduling, quality control, documentation, and vendor coordination. Physical printing, fabrication, deliveries, and installations will be completed by the on-site team.
