The Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance activities supporting production operations, maximize equipment reliability, and minimize unplanned downtime.

The successful candidate will supervise maintenance personnel, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment failures, monitor maintenance performance, and ensure production assets operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance activities supporting production operations.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Assign maintenance tasks to technicians based on production priorities.
• Monitor machinery, equipment, and production utilities for reliability issues.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of recurring equipment failures.
• Develop corrective and preventive actions for identified maintenance issues.
• Minimize unplanned downtime and production losses.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Production and Operations teams.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical production equipment.
• Monitor motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, control systems, and other industrial equipment.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks are completed on time.
• Maintain accurate equipment history and maintenance records.
• Monitor spare parts, tools, consumables, and maintenance materials.
• Coordinate with Procurement regarding critical spare parts and technical supplies.
• Liaise with external contractors and specialist service providers when required.
• Review contractor performance and ensure maintenance work meets required standards.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modifications.
• Work with Engineering teams on reliability and process-improvement projects.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR, availability, and maintenance costs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
• Analyze equipment failure trends and recommend improvement measures.
• Implement reliability and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Support Lean Maintenance, 5S, and operational-excellence programs.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, technical standards, and company policies.
• Enforce lockout/tagout and safe-isolation procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment and workplace safety inspections.
• Identify maintenance-related hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Support emergency response and business-continuity activities.
• Train, coach, and develop maintenance technicians.
• Monitor team attendance, productivity, workmanship, and performance.
• Conduct shift briefings and effective maintenance handovers.
• Communicate outstanding equipment issues and operational risks to management.
• Maintain technical drawings, equipment manuals, procedures, and maintenance documentation.
• Support internal, customer, safety, and regulatory audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and production performance.
• Perform other maintenance and production-support duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, production maintenance, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Previous experience supervising maintenance technicians or engineering teams is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance principles.
• Practical experience with industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of CMMS, work-order management, and maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with PLCs, motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout and safe-isolation practices.
• Strong understanding of maintenance KPIs and equipment reliability metrics.
• Excellent leadership and team-management skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities under production pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
• Lean Manufacturing or reliability-management experience is an advantage.
• UAE/GCC industrial or manufacturing experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Relevant engineering, maintenance, reliability, or safety certifications are welcome but not mandatory.
