Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually
Job Title: Production Manager
Location: New Providence, NJ (hybrid 2-3x/week onsite)
Position Overview:
As our Production Manager for our Impulse & Seasonal business, you'll play a key role in bringing exciting, trend-driven products to life! This newly created, incredibly fast-paced role is responsible for overseeing all development and production milestones, sample development process, and production follow-up. Partnering closely with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and our Shanghai team, you'll manage sample timelines, coordinate priorities, troubleshoot challenges, and keep projects moving forward. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for organization, you'll ensure that our products make it onto the shelf for every season!
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor & track all development/production milestones (sample statuses, testing statuses & updates, production & delivery T&A)
- Communicate with all cross functional team members and external sales partners regarding all the respective areas and key milestones that affect final production and delivery
- Create, update, and monitor all sample tracking beginning with Rd 2 consolidated feedback through TOP production
- Create and update sales team sample tracking grid
- Communicate all timing updates with our sales team weekly or as needed based on cycle timing and production lead time requirements
- Communicate daily on sample timing challenges with SHO/USO Product Managers
- Address any internal requirements needed to ensure on time sampling & production with USO/Shanghai (SHO) marketing and operation teams
- Update, maintain, and publish production approval grid communication upon initial award
- Provide all USO production kick off meeting notes to SHO/USO
- Communicate daily with SHO team to complete final production readiness requirements upon red seal
- Manage gold seal & mass production sample process
- Track, log, and review all gold seal and TOP samples for approvals & challenges
- Log all issues and callouts to SHO via approval grid & production PowerPoint
- Send SHO all final gold seal samples and approvals with proper labeling
Analyze quality issues in pre-production phase (post red seal) and provide Sr. Management with potential solutions
- Communicate next steps to all cross functional team members impacted in production
- Production Follow Up:
- Create production sample boxes of all samples (red, yellow, and TOP samples)
- Create production PowerPoint for publishing and provide weekly updates to SHO
- Manage storage and organization of archive areas and racks
What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years Production experience in a trend-forward industry (impulse, seasonal, fashion, accessories, home goods, etc.) required
- Ability to use ERP systems as well as Microsoft Office applications required
- Ability to manage a very high SKU count & tight production timelines required
- Organization and attention to details as key strengths
- Ability to occasionally meet off-hours with our Shanghai based team
- Ability to work from our New Providence, NJ office 2-3x/week
