The Michigan Mobility Fellows (MMF) program is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a part-time Program Coordinator. This Coordinator will support the delivery of a statewide talent-development program by managing program logistics, coordinating events, supporting Fellows and Host Site Partners, and ensuring smooth operations across two overlapping cohorts. Working closely with the Program Manager, the Coordinator will help create a high-quality fellowship experience that develops leaders and advances a more equitable, innovative, and sustainable transportation future for Michigan.

BACKGROUND

CEDAM is a network of community champions building an equitable Michigan. We are a statewide coalition committed to community economic development. We build members’ capacity, amplify their voices, and leverage resources to achieve lasting and systemic change for Michigan. Through engagement and collaboration, we sustain a thriving and equitable community economic development sector across the state.

CEDAM celebrates diversity of all kinds and is committed to providing a welcoming and non-discriminating environment for all who seek to work with us. Candidates can find additional information at cedamichigan.org/about/careers.

OVERVIEW

The MI Mobility Fellows (MMF) Program is a highly selective fellowship designed to strengthen Michigan’s transportation and mobility ecosystem. The program aims to make Michigan’s mobility future more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable—improving the way people, goods, and ideas move across the state. Early-career professionals from across the country are placed with host organizations where they gain hands-on experience addressing real mobility challenges.

To support this work, the MMF team is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator who will play a central role in helping to deliver a high-quality experience for Fellows and Host Site Partners across Cohorts 2 and 3.

The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Program Manager to operate and deliver a high-quality statewide talent-development program within Michigan’s mobility ecosystem. The selected individual will ensure the fellowship runs smoothly from start to finish. This includes managing logistics, supporting Fellows and host site partners, coordinating events, and keeping program operations organized and on track. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working with people, and brings strong organizational instincts to mission-driven work.

Michigan is at a pivotal moment in its mobility future. By supporting the MMF program, you help develop leaders who will shape a more equitable, innovative, and sustainable transportation landscape across the state. Your work ensures that Fellows and host sites have the structure, support, and coordination they need to make a meaningful impact.

SCOPE OF WORK

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and administrative support of the MMF program, ensuring programming, events, and fellowship activities run smoothly across Cohorts 2 and 3. This role will coordinate communications and provide ongoing support to Fellows and Host Site Partners, while tracking participation, managing program timelines, and supporting professional development and capstone projects. In addition, the Coordinator will assist with stakeholder engagement, communications, reporting, and special projects, while working closely with the Program Manager to strengthen program operations and support the long-term success and sustainability of the fellowship.

Program Manager Support

  • Prepare agendas, notes, and action items; support file organization and documentation
  • Build and maintain a network/contact database of mobility, fellowship and program partners
  • Research fellowship/workforce development best practices and program improvements.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for future cohorts and sustainability.
  • Maintain confidentiality of program participants, host site partners, and organizational information.

COMPENSATION AND TIME COMMITMENT

This position falls within pay grade 1. The position pays an hourly wage of $25.75 and requires a time commitment of 16 - 24 hours/week. The Program Coordinator will be expected to set a regular schedule, with some flexibility for changes related to PTO.
