Program Manager

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join a large-scale technology transformation program within a leading financial services environment.
This is a newly created position within a growing technology portfolio, with the successful candidate taking ownership of a key technical stream and working alongside an established Program Manager to drive delivery across a complex program of work.
The role will focus on improving technology service management, data quality and asset governance across a critical technology environment.
Key areas of focus include:
- Leading a CMDB data uplift to improve the accuracy, quality and governance of technology assets
- Driving service mapping across critical applications, services and infrastructure
- Improving visibility of technology dependencies and relationships between configuration items
- Establishing clear single sources of truth for asset and demand management
- Managing complex delivery schedules, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies
- Working closely with architects, developers, BAs, data teams and technology stakeholders
- Managing external vendors and delivery partners
- Providing clear reporting and governance to senior stakeholders
- Driving delivery across agile teams while operating within a structured program governance environment
We're looking for a hands-on Program Manager who can operate comfortably at both a strategic and delivery level.
You'll ideally bring:
- Strong Program Manager experience within technology environments
- Experience delivering complex technology transformation programs
- Exposure to CMDB, ServiceNow, service mapping, ITSM or configuration management
- A good understanding of application, infrastructure and service dependencies
- Strong schedule, budget, risk and dependency management experience
- Proven senior stakeholder and vendor management capability
- The ability to translate technical information into clear business outcomes
- Experience working with matrixed teams and technical delivery functions
- A hands-on approach and willingness to get into the detail when required
- Banking or Financial Services experience highly desirable
- Payments experience advantageous but not essential
You don't need to be ServiceNow specialist. We're looking for someone who understands the technology environment, can work effectively with technical teams and has the delivery capability to keep a complex program moving.
- Up to $1,200/day including super
- Sydney-based hybrid working
- 3 days in office / 2 days WFH
- Monday and Thursday are mandatory office days, with the third day flexible
- Opportunity to work on a complex, high-profile technology transformation
- Initial contract with the opportunity for extension until end of 2027
