Who We Are
TRUECar is a leading digital automotive platform that uses technology to help car buyers save time and money through a nationwide network of Certified Dealers. Founded in 2005 by Scott Painter, TRUECar was built on the belief that serving membership and affinity organizations central to the car-buying process, including lenders, insurers, and dealers, enables a more valuable auto-buying experience for new and used vehicles. As part of its platform, TRUECar powers auto-buying programs for over 250 leading brands, including Sam's Club, AAA, and more than 100 credit unions.
We are seeking talented individuals who are energized by our commitment to save consumers time and money. We’ve stripped away typical corporate "bloat" to build a culture rooted in high performance and accountability for results. As a member of the TRUECar Crew, you can have a real & direct impact on our success as we continue to evolve the car buying experience. If this energizes you, apply today!
Your TRUECar Experience
At TRUECar, we offer our Crew members the flexibility to split their work time between home and the office. While many days are remote, we expect our Crew to show up for the moments that matter—gathering in person when a project needs that extra collaborative spark because nothing replaces the energy of solving big problems in the same room. We provide you with comfortable shared workspaces in our Santa Monica headquarters office and other regional locations and equip you with a professional home office setup along with monthly reimbursements for your essentials, like phone and internet.
As a TRUECar Crew member, you will receive excellent benefits and perks that include, but are not limited to, 100% employer-paid health, vision, and dental premiums; a 401(k) plan with company contributions; a wellness reimbursement account; and learning & development reimbursement opportunities. We also understand the importance of recharging, so we offer flexible PTO for exempt TRUECar Crew Members and a generous PTO accrual policy for non-exempt TRUECar Crew Members, in addition to 14 company-paid holidays and 2 floating holidays. In short, we care deeply about our Crew Members and have designed employee-centric programs that reflect this.
At TRUECar, we believe in the power of diversity to create a deeper understanding of our consumers and partners, driving innovation in our products. We welcome a workforce that reflects the diversity of car-buying consumers and encourage everyone interested in our mission to apply. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. We will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with applicable law. Additionally, TRUECar will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
TRUECar does not accept unsolicited agency submissions.

The Opportunity:
TrueCar is hiring a strategic Program Manager, Market Intelligence to turn our vast automotive dataset into actionable insights. As a key member of the Data Strategy team, you’ll help drive initiatives and programs across our organization in support of our departments, executives, and company priorities.
In this role, you’ll facilitate the program management of companywide, multi-department data initiatives — such as the development of TRUECar proprietary industry insights, strategy for our vehicle pricing/intelligence analytics, and support of new product/marketing/PR execution, helping drive coordination and alignment across Legal, Product, Analytics, Technology, and Executive stakeholders. The Program Manager will also manage day-to-day relationships with third-party market data and research suppliers and build and maintain dashboards providing internal leadership visibility into market trends and initiative progress.
How you’ll drive TRUECar’s success:
- Lead the brainstorming, development, analysis, and publication of recurring and ad hoc insights that help educate TRUECar customers/industry, and are used within our digital experiences and PR/Marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate ongoing program management for key companywide, multi-department initiatives.
- Own program roadmaps, publication and release calendars, milestones, and status reporting for these initiatives; facilitate cross-functional working sessions, updates, and executive readouts.
- Partner closely with Analytics to structure narratives before production begins: define the key question, findings, supporting evidence, and the best format for the audience (analyst talking points, white papers, market reports, presentations, or interactive experiences).
- Coordinate end-to-end delivery of public-facing and executive-facing insight deliverables, including press and industry-event support.
- Establish and maintain a documented review process - methodology, fact-checking, source and unit clarity, legal review, and sign-off so every published insight is accurate, defensible, and on-brand.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with third-party market data and research suppliers, including onboarding, relationship oversight, issue escalation, and resolution.
- Develop and monitor key market intelligence dashboards that give department and executive leadership visibility into market trends, supplier performance, and initiative progress.
- Partner with Legal and Finance on supplier agreements/renewals.
- Think critically and recommend solutions to complex, cross-functional problems spanning programs, suppliers, and reporting.
- Work independently with minimal oversight, managing multiple concurrent initiatives, supplier relationships, and reporting deliverables at once.
Your Expertise:
- 4+ years of progressively responsible program or project management experience, including data/analytics, research, or content/insight publishing activities and internal/external stakeholders.
- Editorial and/or analytics-oriented experience associated with creating automotive research/insights for consumers, dealers, automotive industry suppliers, and general/business media outlets.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional, companywide initiatives across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
- Effective communication, both verbal and written, with multiple levels (internally and externally), including the ability to explain nuanced data trends in clear, plain language to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Results-oriented with an ability to execute and complete deliverables in a timely manner across multiple concurrent projects.
- Working knowledge of data visualization and storytelling principles, and the judgment to know which format best serves the story and audience.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools (such as Claude) to accelerate analysis, drafting, and validation of work. Strong capability in TRUECar preferred tools and office productivity suites (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Tableau, Claude, etc.).
- Up to 10% travel, including occasional industry events.
- Automotive industry experience is required.
- Detail-oriented and disciplined in accuracy, tracking, fact-checking, multi-tasking, and proactive problem-solving. Operates with a “measure twice, publish once” mindset to protect brand trust.
- Self-motivated to proactively identify blockers/limitations that need to be escalated/solved, and drive for continuous improvement.
- Positive energy, collaborative team player who acts as a trusted partner and bridge between Analytics, Communications, and business leaders.
- Adaptable learner who actively seeks feedback, masters new tools on the fly, and grows with changing market demands.
- Bonus: working familiarity with SQL; experience with Datawrapper, Flourish, or similar tools; background in market research, data journalism, or PR.
