Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Program Manager- Workforce Development to join our security business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage workforce development programs designed to support Pavion's current and future technician staffing needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with trade schools, technical colleges, community colleges, apprenticeship programs, and workforce development organizations.
- Represent Pavion at career fairs, school events, classroom presentations, networking events, and other recruiting and educational activities.
- Partner with school administrators, instructors, career placement teams, and program directors to develop long-term talent pipelines.
- Identify opportunities to establish internships, apprenticeships, job-shadowing programs, and entry-level career pathways.
- Work closely with Recruiting to develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified entry-level and early-career technicians.
- Partner with Operations and Field Leadership to understand technical workforce needs, skill requirements, and geographic hiring priorities.
- Develop relationships with students and graduates and educate them on career opportunities within Pavion.
- Coordinate school visits, facility tours, technician demonstrations, and other initiatives that introduce students to careers in security, fire, AV, structured cabling, data centers, and related technical fields.
- Develop and maintain career pathways that provide technicians with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
- Partner with experienced technicians and field leaders to identify training, mentorship, and development opportunities.
- Track workforce development activities, school partnerships, candidate pipelines, hires, and program outcomes.
- Develop and maintain program goals, timelines, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular updates to leadership regarding workforce development initiatives, partnerships, pipeline activity, and results.
- Identify opportunities to expand workforce development efforts into new geographic markets based on business growth and staffing needs.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Recruiting on initiatives designed to improve technician retention, engagement, and career progression.
- Build strong relationships across Pavion and serve as a resource for technician workforce development initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Workforce Development, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in program management, workforce development, recruiting, technical training, operations, or a related field.
- Experience working with trade schools, technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, or workforce development organizations preferred.
- Experience within the security, low-voltage, fire alarm, AV, structured cabling, telecommunications, data center, electrical, or other skilled-trades industries strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to develop partnerships at all levels.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Recruiting, Human Resources, Operations, and Field Leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative and practical workforce solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize recruiting, project management, and workforce management systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Pavion locations, trade schools, career fairs, and other workforce development events as needed.
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$140,000 annually. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
