Programme Continuous Improvement Lead Programme Name: LCST Location: Bristol, UK. The role will be hybrid, with expectations to be in office at least one day per week and some UK travel will be required. Are you ready for your next career challenge?.. Role Overview: Leidos Europe Ltd is seeking a UK based Programme Continuous Improvement Lead (CIL) who is a motivated self-starter and can work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. You will be a dedicated resource to the Mission Support & Integrated Logistics (MSIL) division working on the Ministry of Defence Logistics, Commodities and Services Transformation (LCST) Programme. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and Continuous Improvement, the Continuous Improvement Lead will be supported by colleagues within the Compliance function who are all on their CI journeys. You will be acting as the first point of contact for new CI opportunities and be responsible for helping deliver and assuring our existing programme CI capability. As a key member of the compliance team, you will have tangible input within a growing organisation. You will help drive the culture of continuous improvement to the next level as the programme continues to expand. We’re a very data heavy organisation and it would be beneficial if you know how to translate complex data into a simple solution with your analytical mindset. You will be exposed to senior management across the programme. Therefore, it’s important you have excellent communication skills, to deal with all kinds of different stakeholders. Duties & Responsibilities: You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and evidence of CPD study on continuous improvement related subjects. This position will work cross-functionally with our Defence customer, key sub-contractors and the operations teams to be ensure the continuous improvement deliverables are of the highest standards so that we deliver products and services of the highest quality to our customers. Your responsibilities: Lead continuous improvement projects of the assigned Leidos programme lines using PDCA/DMAIC or aligned methodology, focusing on cost reduction and efficiencies increase. Conduct assessments to identify areas within Leidos where processes can be streamlined, costs reduced, or efficiency improved. Support creation of detailed plans for implementing changes, including timelines, resource allocation, and communication strategies, utilising an existing CI Toolkit. Support the Head of Compliance and Continuous Improvement in facilitating workshops, training teams, and coaching them on using improvement methodologies. Chair the internal programme Continuous Improvement Working Group (CIWG), ensuring appropriate governance, stakeholder engagement, action tracking and escalation of improvement activity across the programme. Coordinate, review and assure key subcontractor continuous improvement submissions, ensuring proposals are aligned to programme priorities, customer expectations and measurable benefit delivery. Maintain evidence that the programme is delivering Plan-Do-Check-Act activity as set out in the Service Delivery Plans, using CI governance to demonstrate progress, assurance, lessons learned and sustained improvement. Skill Required: Certification in a relevant continuous improvement discipline is necessary Data Analysis skills with ability to process large data sets, drawing conclusions and providing effective visualisations to summarise key information Evidence of a number of years working within an operations environment. Strong communication (written and verbal), leadership and partnership working skills. Ability to deliver at pace, multi-task and manage pressing deadlines. UK citizenship Be able to achieve SC clearance Willing to travel UK Wide Desirable Skills Required: Experience working in a service orientated environment.
