Job Summary:
The Programme Delivery Manager will play a
critical role in the successful delivery of Unity, WMFTS' global business transformation
programme.
Acting as the operational right-hand person to the Unity Programme Lead, the role will combine programme management and hands-on delivery coordination responsibilities. The successful candidate will operate across strategic, tactical and administrative levels, ensuring effective planning, governance, reporting, stakeholder alignment and delivery execution throughout the programme lifecycle. Working closely with the Unity Programme Lead, Business Process Owners, site deployment teams, implementation partners and senior stakeholders, the role will provide programme management rigour, delivery oversight, governance, planning, reporting and assurance across all phases of the programme.
The role
will be responsible for maintaining integrated programme plans, coordinating
programme governance, managing risks, issues and dependencies, driving action
management, supporting deployment readiness assessments and providing accurate
reporting to enable effective decision making.
This role
requires previous Tier1/Tier 2 ERP implementation experience, strong
organisational and stakeholder management capability, and the ability to
operate effectively within a complex global transformation programme involving
multiple deployment waves, locations, business functions and third-party
partners.
The successful candidate will
be comfortable switching between coordination and hands-on programme
administration, ensuring that programme activities progress at pace and that
stakeholders remain aligned and accountable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the integrated Unity programme plan across all workstreams, deployment waves and implementation sites
- Coordinate cross functional delivery activities and ensure alignment across programme streams.
- Monitor progress against milestones, deliverables and key programme objectives.
- Drive accountability for programme actions and commitments, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Facilitate programme planning workshops and support effective prioritisation of activities.
- Identify and manage interdependencies across workstreams, sites and deployment waves.
- Support the Programme Lead in driving delivery performance and ensuring programme objectives are achieved.
- Coordinate programme governance forums including Steering Committees, Programme Boards, Design Authority meetings, Stage Gates and deployment readiness reviews.
- Develop and maintain programme dashboards, KPIs, status reports and executive reporting packs.
- Ensure programme controls, standards, templates and reporting processes are consistently applied.
- Maintain programme documentation, audit trails and governance records.
- Prepare agendas, meeting packs, minutes and action logs for governance forums.
- Ensure decisions, actions and escalations are captured, tracked and progressed to closure.
- Manage programme RAID processes, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues, decisions and dependencies are accurately maintained.
- Support the identification, assessment, mitigation and escalation of programme risks and issues.
- Monitor programme health and highlight areas requiring intervention or management action.
- Provide constructive challenge and delivery assurance to workstream leads and programme stakeholders.
- Coordinate deployment planning and readiness assessments across all programme workstreams.
- Consolidate readiness inputs from testing, data migration, business change, process, infrastructure, technical and training workstreams.
- Support go/no-go decision-making processes through the provision of accurate readiness reporting.
- Ensure deployment activities are planned, coordinated and executed in alignment with programme milestones.
- Facilitate lessons learned activities and drive continuous improvement across deployment waves.
- Support programme budgeting, forecasting and financial tracking activities.
- Monitor programme expenditure and assist with reporting against budget commitments.
- Support resource planning and tracking across programme workstreams.
- Coordinate vendor and implementation partner reporting where required.
- Build strong relationships across programme teams, business stakeholders, site leadership teams and external partners.
- Act as a key point of coordination across workstreams and deployment teams.
- Communicate programme progress, risks and priorities clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Manage programme actions, decisions, assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Produce programme reports, dashboards, KPIs and delivery metrics to support decision-making.
- Support programme budgeting, forecasting and financial tracking.
- Coordinate deployment planning, readiness assessments and go/no-go activities across all workstreams.
- Ensure programme plans, milestones and dependencies are accurately maintained and aligned.
- Support the management of implementation partners and third-party vendors.
- Drive consistency in programme governance, reporting standards and documentation.
- Facilitate lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide delivery assurance, challenge and support to workstream leads where appropriate.
Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrable experience supporting large-scale ERP implementation or business transformation programmes.
- Experience delivering at least one end-to-end ERP deployment through design, build, testing, deployment and hypercare.
- Strong programme and project management experience within complex, multi-workstream environments.
- Experience managing programme governance, executive reporting and programme controls.
- Strong RAID management experience.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, workstreams and delivery partners.
- Excellent planning, organisation and scheduling skills.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
- Experience producing executive-level reports, dashboards and presentations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and reporting skills.
- Experience using programme delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-support capability.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively within a fast-paced transformation environment.
- Willingness to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels depending on programme needs.
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O/FSCM implementations.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering or supply chain environments.
- Experience supporting global, multi-site deployment programmes.
- Experience working with system integrators and third-party implementation partners.
- Knowledge of programme governance frameworks and PMO best practice.
- Microsoft Sure Step experience.
- PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, PMP, APM PMQ or equivalent project/programme management qualification.
