As the Programme Lead for Education & Sport, you will steward and grow integrated youth development pathways across partner organizations. Operating out of Zwide on a hybrid model, you’ll oversee early learning, curriculum support, and sports-for-development initiatives while upholding rigorous child safeguarding standards. You will turn field data into actionable program enhancements to maximize real-world impact.
The Tech Stack Deep-Dive
While this is a programmatic and field-leadership role rather than a software engineering position, success relies heavily on specific core domains, data toolsets, and frameworks:
Core Competencies & Frameworks (Must-Haves)
- Domain Expertise: Education Programming, Early Childhood Development (ECD), or Sport-for-Development.
- Safeguarding & Governance: Working knowledge of child protection principles and referral pathways in community/school settings.
- Stakeholder Operations: Experience managing community-based organizations, schools, instructional partners, and external funders.
- Qualifications & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree (Education, Sport Science, Social Sciences, or related), valid driver’s licence with a reliable vehicle, and a clear criminal record.
Tools & Methodologies (Nice-to-Haves)
- Data & Analytics: Exposure to Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) frameworks for evidence-based decision-making.
- Instructional Coaching: Hands-on experience working alongside coaching or teaching partners.
Key Responsibilities (Keep it brief)
- Program Delivery & Quality: Oversee delivery partners across ECD, education support, and sport initiatives while embedding rigorous child safeguarding standards across all sites.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with Food Security and GBV Programme Leads in cross-pathway forums to ensure holistic, site-level impact.
- Data & Site Operations: Maintain a hands-on monitoring rhythm with regular site visits to refine program quality using MEL data.
