This role will lead the delivery of a major digital transformation programme, replacing the charity’s existing online forms and payments system with a new platform. The Programme Manager will oversee the project from discovery through to implementation, testing, launch and stabilisation.

Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you will ensure the programme is delivered within the agreed scope, budget and timeframe while protecting supporter experience and fundraising income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the programme from discovery through to implementation, go-live and stabilisation.
  • Develop and manage the overall programme plan, timelines, budget, resources and dependencies.
  • Coordinate internal teams, technology suppliers and implementation partners.
  • Manage programme risks, issues, decisions and changes to scope.
  • Ensure the new platform integrates effectively with existing websites, CRM and payment systems.
  • Oversee testing across supporter journeys, payments, data, communications, security and accessibility.
  • Lead go-live planning, including cutover, contingency and post-launch support.
  • Provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure the existing platform is safely retired following a successful launch.

Person Specification

  • Significant experience managing complex digital, technology, CRM, payments or platform implementation programmes.
  • Experience overseeing programmes from discovery through to go-live and stabilisation.
  • Strong programme planning, budget management, risk management and change-control skills.
  • Experience managing external suppliers and implementation partners.
  • An understanding of digital customer or supporter journeys, online forms, payments and CRM integrations.
  • Experience leading testing, cutover and service transition activity.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Experience within fundraising, charities, membership, ecommerce or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience with platforms such as RaiseNow, Salesforce, Drupal or WordPress would be helpful but is not essential.

What’s on Offer

  • £237–£300 per day, plus daily holiday pay.
  • Remote working, with occasional travel to Central London.
  • Fixed-term contract, till March/April 2027
  • The opportunity to lead a significant digital transformation programme for a leading UK charity.
