About Restless Development
Restless Development is a global non-profit agency. We support the collective power of young leaders to create a better world. We are independently registered and governed in nine countries (India, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, UK, USA, Zambia and Zimbabwe) bound together by our vision for youth power. We run youth-led programmes to tackle the issues that young people care about the most. We also coordinate the Youth Collective, a growing network of over 4000 local youth civil society groups and organisations in 185 countries.
Our approach to safeguarding
Restless Development considers the welfare and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults to be an organisational imperative with primacy over the success of programmes or strategic objectives: Safeguarding Policy.
About the Project:
Restless Development Uganda, with support from the British Council, is implementing the Youth Connect Inclusive Economic Empowerment (IEE) Pathway. The programme is a structured phased intervention that supports young people to strengthen their confidence, skills, networks and practical experience needed to make informed economic choices and pursue sustainable employment or enterprise opportunities.
The IEE Pathway is a participant centred adult learning journey. It combines facilitated learning, practical assignments, mentoring, employer and enterprise engagement, workplace exposure or business-development activities, and reflection.
Participants are expected to take responsibility for applying learning and pursuing opportunities independently. For more details please refer to the Terms of Reference linked
