The Programme Training Coordinator will coordinate the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of cyber security awareness, competence and training activities within a central cyber security programme. The consultant will translate global and OT-specific requirements into a practical, role-based training approach, align stakeholders across Corporate Information Security, Digital Risk, Assurance & Security, People & Culture and regional hubs, and support consistent delivery, tracking and reporting across locations.
The coordinator is not expected to act as the cyber security or OT subject-matter expert, but must be able to work closely with relevant specialists and translate their input into effective, role-based training and awareness activities.
Furthermore, the Training Coordinator will design and coordinate other training activities needed for the programme to succeed, such as leadership training.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate training needs across the projects in the programme.
- Create target-group definitions and role-to-training mapping for employees with OT responsibilities, critical-system access, sensitive tasks or management responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain an integrated training plan covering global awareness, OT-specific role-based training, compliance-related training and local or hub requirements.
- Work closely with cyber security, OT, risk, compliance and other subject-matter experts to translate specialist requirements into practical and audience-appropriate learning activities.
- Coordinate the development, sourcing and review of training and awareness materials for audiences ranging from technicians and SCADA users to specialists and management.
- Manage external training providers, including scope definition, vendor coordination, quality assurance, scheduling and follow-up.
- Coordinate delivery across functions, regions and sites, including dependencies on learning systems, access data and employee lifecycle processes.
- Establish KPIs and reporting routines, monitor completion and effectiveness, and recommend improvements based on assessments, surveys, feedback and audit evidence.
Key deliverables
- Approved training needs analysis and prioritised target-group overview.
- Role-based training matrix and training catalogue with ownership, cadence and delivery channels.
- Integrated delivery and rollout plan covering the organisation globally as well as relevant hubs and locations.
- Coordinated vendor deliverables and quality-assured training materials.
- KPI framework, completion tracking, effectiveness assessments and regular management reporting.
- Documented governance, handover and continuous-improvement recommendations.
Competencies
- Structured and delivery-focused, with strong planning, coordination and follow-through.
- Able to work effectively with cyber security and OT specialists and translate their input, including regulatory and compliance requirements, into clear, audience-appropriate learning activities.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.
- Comfortable navigating a high level of complexity, dependencies and competing priorities in a global matrix organisation.
- Analytical and outcome-oriented, with a pragmatic approach to measurement and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of relevant experience, including proven experience developing and implementing cyber security awareness and training programmes.
- Demonstrated experience with training needs analysis, employee targeting, role-based learning design, vendor management and KPI definition.
- Ability to work closely with cyber security and OT subject-matter experts and translate their requirements and specialist input into effective, role-based training and awareness activities.
- Experience developing or coordinating compliance-related training is strongly preferred.
- Ability to develop or support training and awareness materials for diverse audiences, from technicians and operational specialists to management.
- Experience managing external training providers and coordinating delivery across multiple locations and stakeholder groups.
- Experience measuring programme effectiveness through KPIs, assessments, surveys, completion data and management reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate and work effectively within a matrix organisation.
- Preferably experience in OT cyber security and SCADA environments; experience from the wind energy or another critical-infrastructure sector is preferred.
- Additional advantage: Knowledge of OT cyber security frameworks, regulations and industry standards, such as IEC 62443, EU NIS2, UK NIS CAF and ISO/IEC 27001.
