This is a senior Project Delivery Manager / PM Lead position supporting a major Finance transformation and SAP S/4HANA implementation.

This is positioned at work level 2C and requires someone capable of operating independently and confidently with senior stakeholders, including VP-level stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership across the two Finance Global Process Owner teams.
• Ensure both teams are moving in a consistent direction from a project delivery perspective.
• Coordinate activities that cut across multiple Finance process areas.
• Work closely with Finance Process Leads across areas including:
• Financial reporting / Record-to-Report
• Management / internal reporting
• Fixed assets
• Tax
• Treasury
• Finance master data
• Drive cross-functional deliverables such as completion of process documentation and related project activities.
• Support delivery of the broader SAP S/4HANA transformation.
• Work effectively with a relatively senior, international Finance team.
• Ultimately contribute to the programme's goal of going live with all relevant views by the end of 2027.

Essential areas of experience:

• Strong project management
• Proven project management experience
• The candidate needs to work independently in a complex transformation environment and must be comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders.

The candidate must understand Finance well enough to communicate in Finance terminology and quickly understand business requirements.
The strongest background would be Record-to-Report / financial reporting.
Corporate Finance experience is more relevant than banking.
Knowledge of fixed assets, Finance master data, tax and/or treasury would also be relevant.
Experience with a significant system implementation or transformation is essential.
SAP S/4HANA experience is highly preferred because the programme is implementing S/4HANA and much of the terminology and work will be SAP-related.
General organisational transformation experience without systems implementation exposure would not be sufficient.

The strongest candidate would therefore be a:
Senior Project Manager with a strong Finance background, ideally Record-to-Report or financial reporting, who has delivered major system transformation programmes and preferably has hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
They should be comfortable operating in a complex, fast-moving project environment, coordinating multiple Finance workstreams and working with senior stakeholders across an international organisation.

Team and working model

• Approximately 30 people across the two Finance teams.
• Team members are predominantly relatively senior, with many at 2C level and some at 2A/2B.
• The team is international and largely remote.
• Amsterdam is the primary location/head office, but regular Amsterdam office attendance is not required.
• Candidates elsewhere in Europe can be considered, particularly where there is a strong combination of experience and cost.
• Full-time is preferred, although less than full-time can be considered.
• The environment is described as typical of a major transformation programme, with high urgency and competing priorities.
