Role Description The Project Engineer at Institut Régional de Santé Publique - Bénin (IRSP-CAQ) will support the planning, coordination, and technical execution of public health–related engineering projects. This part-time, remote role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to define project requirements, develop technical solutions, and ensure that deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Day-to-day activities include preparing project plans and schedules, drafting technical documentation, reviewing designs and specifications, and monitoring progress against milestones. The Project Engineer will also contribute to risk assessments, support procurement and vendor coordination when needed, and provide regular reports and updates to project leaders. The role requires proactive communication, effective use of digital collaboration tools, and adherence to IRSP-CAQ’s ethical and quality frameworks.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to public health and infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated skills in Project Management and Project Planning, including organizing tasks, tracking timelines, and coordinating resources.
Effective Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely, prepare clear reports, and present technical information to diverse stakeholders.
Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Engineering, Public Health Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working in or with public health, research, or non-profit organizations is an asset.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours efficiently, and use digital tools for documentation and collaboration.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to inclusive, ethical, and non-discriminatory practices.
