Join the Leave No Trace Ireland Team: Project Lead – Ambassador Programme
Are you passionate about Ireland’s mountains, outdoor recreation and community-led conservation? We’re looking for a Project Lead – Ambassador Programme to join the Leave No Trace Ireland team and help support the protection of two of Ireland’s most iconic mountain landscapes.
This 12-month, part-time role will coordinate our Ambassador Programme across Errigal Mountain in Co. Donegal and Croagh Patrick in Co. Mayo. Working alongside local communities, volunteer ambassadors, NPWS, local authorities and key stakeholders, you’ll play an important role in helping people enjoy these landscapes responsibly while protecting the places that make them so special.
The role will involve recruiting, training and supporting volunteer ambassadors, coordinating stakeholder and community engagement, organising volunteer activities, monitoring programme impact and supporting project reporting.
You’ll be joining a small, passionate and collaborative team working to inspire responsible outdoor recreation across Ireland.
The role at a glance
We’re looking for someone with experience in volunteer or community-led initiatives, stakeholder engagement and project coordination, alongside a genuine commitment to Ireland’s natural environment and the Leave No Trace mission.
Experience in outdoor recreation, conservation or community development is desirable, as is knowledge of the Errigal and/or Croagh Patrick areas.
