Summary

The CSRC Project Leader – Research will support the Research portfolio under the direction of the CSRC Research Senior Manager. Activities will include supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of initiatives related to the Research portfolio’s ongoing operational planning phase. The Project Leader will manage the day-to-day coordination of the Research portfolio and work closely with key research collaborators, including the BC Centre for Excellence (BCCfE), Centre for Heart Lung Innovation (HLI), BC Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU), and clinical academic research groups. The role will support collaborator engagement, lead documentation activities related to workflow mapping, and contribute to transition planning activities to support the move of research programs and teams from the current St. Paul’s Hospital (Burrard Street site) to the future Clinical Support and Research Centre (CSRC).

The ideal candidate brings recent experience leading or supporting healthcare capital projects and has a strong understanding of healthcare and research environments. Given the nature of this work, experience working with operational or research collaborators is essential, along with familiarity with the terminology, processes, and workflows commonly used within healthcare and research settings. The successful candidate will possess strong project coordination and documentation skills and be proficient in tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Smartsheet. The ability to develop workflow maps, manage project documentation, and support collaborator engagement activities will be critical to success in this role. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or other recognized project management certification would be considered a strong asset.

About the CSRC:

Directly adjacent and connected the future hospital by a sky-bridge, the CSRC will be a state-of-the-art research, technology and medical facility which will allow the New St. Paul’s Hospital to further embed research and innovation into everything we do. The CSRC will be home to core research facilities including wet labs, specimen biobanks and analytic data centres, and other amenities such as on-site childcare centre and retail space. Plus, at its heart, is an Innovation Centre with ‘sandbox’ prototyping space designed to encourage collaboration and discovery. To learn more about the CSRC, click here.
