Project Management Assistant

In the fast-growing small satellite industry, we are looking for a Project Management Assistant to strengthen our project management team. In this role, you will provide structured, high-quality support to Project Managers delivering complex small satellite projects, ranging from platform development to full end-to-end turnkey satellite missions. In this role, you support the daily execution of projects by maintaining structure across planning, budgeting, and coordination activities. You ensure that project schedules are up to date, budgets are tracked accurately, and project information is complete and reliable. You also support coordination between project teams and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution of project activities. This is a long-term project support role within the project delivery function, focused on execution support rather than project ownership or project management responsibilities. It is a dedicated support function and not part of a project management development path. Your main responsibilities: Provide daily coordination and administrative support to Project Managers Maintain and update project schedules, plans, and tracking tools Support resource planning across projects Track and maintain project budgets, including financial data updates Coordinate procurement activities and follow up on purchase orders and deliveries Maintain project documentation, reports, and configuration records Organize meetings, prepare agendas, record actions, and follow up on deliverables Monitor project progress and report status updates to the Project Manager, including risks and issues Ensure project data is accurate, complete, and up to date across systems HBO (Bachelor’s degree / University of Applied Sciences level) 2+ years of experience in a project support or project coordination role Solid experience with the MS Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project Fluent in English, with strong and straightforward communication skills Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Proactive, solution-driven mindset with a focus on getting things done efficiently Energetic team player with a positive and open attitude This role is well suited for professionals who enjoy contributing to high-impact projects through structured coordination and execution support, without holding end-to-end project management responsibility or transitioning into a project management role.
