Project Management - Internship

This internship focuses on supporting our project delivery team as we manage a complex system remediation for a Paris-based client. You will help maintain the structure and documentation that keeps our finance-focused projects on track while working in a fully remote environment.

Alpine Business Consulting works at the intersection of finance processes and the systems that support them. We specialize in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and analytics, helping finance teams fix platforms that never delivered on their promises. While we build new systems from scratch, much of our work involves remediating existing setups in Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and Power BI. We focus on the numbers side of the house, ensuring that consolidation rules, intercompany eliminations, and reporting pipelines reflect how a finance team actually operates.

Whether it is a cloud migration or a complex forecasting model, we value precision over presentation.

What You Will Do

• Track project timelines and milestones for the Paris-based client engagement to ensure nothing falls behind.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure all functional requirements are recorded accurately.
• Update internal status reports to reflect progress on specific technical deliverables and system fixes.
• Assist with the coordination of remote meetings and ensure follow-up on specific action items.
• Verify that project folders and archives are organized according to our internal consulting standards.
• Help prepare client presentations that focus on data accuracy and process flow improvements.
• Monitor resource allocation across different project phases to help the team meet fixed-price deadlines.
• Draft administrator training manuals and handover documentation to help finance teams operate their own systems.
• Review project logs to identify potential delays before they affect the delivery schedule.

What We Are Looking For

• A current student or recent graduate in business administration, finance, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and an interest in how corporate finance systems operate.
• Familiarity with standard productivity tools like Excel and PowerPoint for data tracking and reporting.
• Technical curiosity regarding data modeling and how project management software supports delivery.
• Excellent written communication skills with a focus on clarity, brevity, and precision.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively in a remote setup.
• A practical approach to problem solving and a preference for clear, direct communication.
• Basic understanding of the project lifecycle and why meeting deadlines is critical in consulting.
