We are bringing on a Project Management intern to support a high-priority engagement with a major financial services provider. This role is a full-time, fully remote position designed to help our advisory team manage the day-to-day rhythm of client work. You will help us maintain the clarity and structure that our clients rely on to move their projects forward effectively.
About the Role Olive Tree Consulting helps companies solve recurring management issues by focusing on the space between strategy and daily execution. This internship is about the documentation and organization that keeps those solutions in place. The role exists to support our consultants as they map out decision-making processes and clear up ownership gaps for our clients. You will be working behind the scenes to make sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle as we work with leadership teams to simplify their internal operations. Because we are a remote firm, you will gain experience in how to coordinate complex projects across a distributed team.
What You Will Do
Draft clear and concise meeting summaries that focus on decisions made rather than just recording dialogue.
Update project tracking documents to ensure that ownership of every task is clearly recorded and visible to the team.
Organize the internal knowledge base for the client project so that all team members have access to the most current versions of documents.
Monitor project timelines and check in with team members to ensure milestones are being met without creating unnecessary pressure.
Assist in the creation of visual maps for workflows and handoff points within the client organization.
Help prepare materials for weekly reviews, focusing on facts and progress rather than decorative presentations.
Identify areas where the project rhythm could be simplified or made more predictable.
What We Are Looking For
A high degree of organization and a natural preference for order and clarity.
The ability to write in plain, clear English without using corporate jargon or filler words.
A curious mindset that wants to understand how large businesses actually function behind the scenes.
Comfort working in a fully remote environment, which requires proactive communication and self-discipline.
An eye for detail, specifically when it comes to spotting inconsistencies in notes or project trackers.
The ability to remain calm and focused when priorities shift or new information comes in.
A respectful communication style that helps keep the team aligned and informed.
Helpful Background
Basic familiarity with project management tools or common spreadsheet software.
Experience in a role that required heavy writing or documentation, such as university projects or volunteer work.
An interest in management theory, organizational behavior, or business operations.
Previous experience working or studying in a remote setting.
A background in any field that values precision, such as history, law, or technical writing.
What We Offer This is a paid internship with a competitive rate for the current market and this level of experience. The position is 100 percent remote, allowing you to work from wherever you are most productive. You will have direct exposure to how advisory firms solve real-world management problems for large organizations in the financial sector. Our work culture values your time and avoids unnecessary meetings or performative work. You will receive regular feedback and mentorship to help you build a strong foundation in project management and consulting habits.
About Olive Tree Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company growth. We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own. The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
