Apply Description We are a collaborative, design-focused architecture and engineering firm committed to delivering innovative, sustainable, and client-centered solutions. Our team works on a diverse range of public and private sector projects and values technical excellence, accountability, and outstanding client service. We are seeking an experienced Project Management Professional (PMP) to oversee multiple projects from initiation through construction completion. This position is primarily focused on project delivery, operational performance, workflow management, financial oversight, reporting, and client coordination. While architectural or engineering experience is highly desirable, this is not a design role. The ideal candidate is a highly organized leader with experience managing project teams, schedules, budgets, contracts, and project controls in an architecture, engineering, or construction environment. Position Summary The Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination for multiple concurrent projects and is responsible for ensuring successful project execution through effective planning, monitoring, communication, and financial management. This role focuses on: Project workflow management Budget development and tracking Resource planning Schedule management Progress monitoring and reporting Risk management Contract administration Client communication Team coordination and accountability The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with contractual obligations and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Delivery Manage multiple architecture and engineering projects simultaneously. Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing forecasts, and project controls. Establish project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics. Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, constraints, and potential delays. Implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives. Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and project procedures. Coordinate project closeout activities and lessons learned. Budget & Financial Management Prepare and manage project budgets throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project financial performance, labor utilization, profitability, and cash flow. Review project expenditures against budget forecasts. Track earned revenue, fee utilization, project burn rates, and contract amendments. Prepare financial reports and performance dashboards for leadership review. Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and profitability. Reporting & Performance Monitoring Develop and maintain project reporting systems and dashboards. Provide regular status updates to clients, leadership, and project teams. Track project health indicators including: Schedule adherence Budget performance Resource allocation Risk exposure Deliverable completion Produce monthly, quarterly, and executive-level project reports. Support data-driven decision-making through project analytics and forecasting. Workflow & Resource Management Coordinate workflows among architects, engineers, consultants, and external stakeholders. Monitor team workloads and resource availability. Assist department leadership with staffing and project forecasting. Facilitate communication between project teams to ensure alignment and accountability. Improve project management processes and operational efficiencies. Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as a primary client contact for project management matters. Lead project status meetings and communications. Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness. Manage stakeholder expectations and project priorities. Coordinate with regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, and public-sector representatives as required. Contract Administration Assist with preparation and negotiation of professional services agreements. Manage contract compliance and project documentation. Review scopes of work, amendments, task orders, and change management processes. Support procurement and consultant management activities. Track deliverables and contract obligations. Construction Phase Support Coordinate project administration activities during construction. Monitor project progress and construction-related deliverables. Coordinate review processes involving: RFIs Submittals Shop drawings Change orders Construction schedules Facilitate communication among project teams, contractors, and clients. Business Operations Support Support proposal development and project planning efforts. Assist in fee development, budgeting, and project forecasting. Contribute to process improvement initiatives. Participate in strategic planning and operational performance reviews. Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Minimum 8 years of project management experience within the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), or related industry. Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Strong experience with: Project controls Budget management Cost forecasting Resource planning Schedule management Performance reporting Experience managing consultant teams and external stakeholders. Strong understanding of architecture, engineering, and construction project delivery processes. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Advanced organizational, analytical, and leadership abilities. Preferred Qualifications CAPM certification and progression to PMP certification considered valuable. Architecture or engineering background. Experience with public-sector and municipal projects. Experience managing: On-Call Contracts IDIQ Contracts MATOC Contracts Familiarity with construction administration processes. Experience implementing project management methodologies and process improvements. Knowledge of sustainable design and building practices. Experience using ERP and project accounting systems.
