We are implementing a new business change project which will have extensive impact on a range of areas across our organisation. We are looking for a project manager to proactively and pragmatically work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to define, build and deliver new capabilities (technical solutions and upgraded business processes) to meet strategic objectives. The role will require the successful applicant to work from the Polo Cheltenham office two to three days per week, with occasional travel to the Polo London office. Candidates must have knowledge and experience of the Lloyd’s of London insurance market or a similar highly regulated industry. Key Responsibilities Coordinate across multiple workstreams to define and implement new business and technical solutions, working with a range of internal teams. Initiate projects, define deliverables and establish plans and governance models. Deliver projects across multiple workstreams (displaying industry recognised techniques and methodologies) to agreed time, cost, quality, TCF and compliance objectives. Execute and manage the project plan on a day-to-day basis, monitor progress and take all necessary actions and escalations where appropriate. Establish, lead, and manage cross functional and multi-disciplined teams (e.g. Business Operations, IT, Risk, Audit, etc) to support solution roll out. Resource projects appropriately and early escalation of potential slippage Routinely engage with and communicate with Senior stakeholders. Prepare reports for internal communications and steering group meetings. Support the senior management decision making process. Work in accordance with Polo’s policies, client and regulatory requirements and operational frameworks. Engage in Polo leadership forums to share progress, lessons learned and best practices. Key Relationships Internal stakeholders at all levels of the business 3rd party suppliers Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Must have strong stakeholder engagement experience. Highly effective stakeholder engagement will be critical, internally, with customers and with third parties. Must have previous experience of software solution delivery and delivery of business change improvements. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Proven Project Management track record with experience of the full project lifecycle and commercial environments. A professional and flexible approach. Champions change and proactively seeks continuous improvement. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Experience of working in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market or a similar highly regulated industry is essential. Experience working within an outsourcing environment is desirable.
