Senior Project Manager Digital Banking Transformation

100% Remote (Candidates that reside in Pacific Standard Time are priority)

Target Duration: Funded through the end of 2026 with strong potential for extension based on project demand and performance. This role supports multiple strategic digital banking initiatives that are expected to continue beyond the current statement of work.

THIS ROLE:

• We are seeking a Project Manager to support a large-scale Digital Banking Transformation program focused on enhancing customer-facing digital channels including mobile banking applications, online banking platforms, digital onboarding, payments, and customer experience initiatives.
• This is a highly visible role supporting multiple strategic initiatives within a fast-paced financial services environment.
• The ideal candidate will bring strong project delivery experience, deep Agile expertise, and proven experience leading digital banking transformation efforts.

This is not a high-level Program Manager role. This role requires a hands-on Senior Project Manager who is willing to get into the details and personally drive execution every day. Candidates who are successful in this environment are those who:

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have experience within retail banking, credit unions, fintech, digital banking, or financial services environments.

Senior Project Management Experience

Candidates must have experience leading complex, enterprise-scale projects involving:

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Lead complex, cross-functional Digital Banking Transformation initiatives from planning through implementation and closure.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, resource plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage project scope, timeline, financials, risks, and dependencies across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Coordinate delivery activities across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, QA, and Business stakeholders.

Agile Delivery

• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospectives, Daily Standups, and Release Planning activities.
• Support Agile teams through execution and removal of delivery blockers.
• Prepare and facilitate Quarterly Planning and roadmap sessions.
• Drive delivery accountability across multiple workstreams.

Governance & Communication

• Maintain detailed RAID logs, action registers, dependency trackers, and executive reporting.
• Prepare status reports, executive updates, dashboards, and steering committee materials.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate critical decision-making discussions.
• Ensure projects comply with established methodologies, governance standards, and best practices.

Risk & Implementation Management

• Identify and mitigate delivery risks before they impact milestones.
• Coordinate testing, implementation readiness, deployment activities, and post-production stabilization.
• Manage issue escalation and cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
• Ensure successful delivery of measurable business outcomes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tukwila, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
