Project Manager

Why this role matters

Projects only succeed when someone owns the outcome. As Project Manager in our NSW team, you'll be that person. You'll plan, coordinate and deliver engineering projects from start to close-out, and you'll be the main point of contact for our clients and internal stakeholders.

You'll have real ownership of scope, programme, commercial outcomes and project risk. Your decisions will determine whether clients get what they were promised, on time, and whether they come back. You'll work across Structural, Civil and Building Services disciplines, so your impact reaches well beyond a single project.

What You'll Do

• Manage the delivery of multiple projects across Projects NSW
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and delivery milestones
• Coordinate project resources to meet delivery commitments
• Monitor performance against scope, programme and budget
• Identify and manage risks, issues, variations and scope changes early
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, setting expectations and communicating clearly
• Coordinate delivery across Structural, Civil and Building Services disciplines
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting, and support invoicing, forecasting and close-out
• Drive consistent project delivery practices and continuous improvement
  
  

What you bring

• A proven record of managing multiple projects against scope, programme and budget
• Commercial confidence, including forecasting, invoicing and managing variations
• Excellent client communication and relationship skills
• The ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams and technical specialists
• A proactive approach to risk, issues and escalation
• Strong organisation, accuracy in reporting and attention to project governance
• A commitment to quality and continuous improvement
• A degree in engineering (or related discipline) and experience in an engineering consulting environment
