Project Manager

BASIC INFORMATION:

Reporting Structure: Reports to Civic Project Manager or Principal in Charge

Classification: Salaried, Exempt

Salary Range: $100,000 – $135,000 annually DOE

QUALIFICATIONS:

RFM welcomes applications from candidates who bring strong project management expertise, whether licensed or not. We believe great project leadership comes from diverse paths.

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field from an accredited program plus eight or more years of professional experience, including demonstrated project management responsibility
  • Architectural or interior design licensure preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of the overall design and documentation process; thorough understanding of zoning, building codes, and life safety requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, and fee with full responsibility for multiple small to midsize projects
  • Ability to serve as primary client liaison and bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction
  • Working knowledge of contracts, proposals, and fee estimating
  • Proficiency in Revit and/or firm project management systems
  • Honest, direct, and constructive communication; sound professional judgment

SAMPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Leadership

  • Manages multiple small to midsize projects with full responsibility for coordinating all aspects of assigned work
  • Determines scope of work and prepares strategic plans for project success
  • Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs across assigned projects
  • Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts
  • Coordinates project team assignments and monitors progress against schedule

Client and Business Development

  • Serves as primary client liaison; brings projects to schedule, budget, and scope completion to the client's satisfaction
  • Manages project communications and documentation
  • Participates in business development activities and proposal preparation as assigned

Professional Growth

  • Actively pursues continued professional development within the firm
  • Participates in firm culture and community events
  • Upholds RFM's core values in all work and interactions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
