THE PROJECT TO BE DEVELOPED: Fundació Sant Joan de Déu per a la Recerca (FSJD) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting, supporting and managing research and innovation activities within the Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem. FSJD works in close collaboration with Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona (HSJD), the Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute (IRSJD), research teams and other national and international partners to foster the development of strategic initiatives aimed at advancing scientific knowledge and improving healthcare. We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic projects in the fields of Advanced Therapies and Internationalisation. The position will play a key role in the planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting of these initiatives, working transversally with the different teams and stakeholders involved. This will include close collaboration with the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Learning (DRIL) of Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona, as well as with other teams across the Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem and external partners. The Project Manager will contribute to translating strategic priorities into structured projects and workplans, facilitating their effective implementation and ensuring appropriate coordination between the different stakeholders involved. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic project support: Support the structuring, planning and implementation of complex, high-impact projects in the fields of Internationalisation and Advanced Therapies. Contribute to the definition of project scopes, objectives, workplans, timelines, milestones and risk management plans. Support the translation of strategic priorities into actionable projects and initiatives. Facilitate alignment and coordination between the different teams and stakeholders involved in each project. Project planning, follow-up and reporting: Plan, monitor and update the progress of activities using appropriate project management tools (e.g. Gantt charts, dashboards, risk and issue logs). Prepare periodic progress reports, executive summaries and decision-support documents for the relevant stakeholders and governance bodies. Set up, maintain and improve internal reporting frameworks for large-scale strategic projects. Documentation and strategic writing: Draft and edit high-quality strategic documents, concept notes, internal briefing papers, presentations and position documents related to Internationalisation and Advanced Therapies. Support the preparation of materials for institutional meetings, visits, negotiations and international missions. Contribute to the preparation of governance, operational and sustainability models for new initiatives when required. Stakeholder coordination and liaison: Coordinate with the different teams involved in strategic projects to facilitate their effective implementation. Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, including clinical and research teams, management units and support services. Facilitate interactions with external partners, advisors, consultants, international collaborators and networks. Promote effective communication and information flow between the different stakeholders involved in each initiative. Meetings and governance support: Organise and prepare project-related meetings, workshops and governance committees, including agendas, supporting documentation, minutes and follow-up of action points. Participate in coordination and follow-up meetings with the teams and stakeholders involved in the different projects. Ensure appropriate follow-up of decisions, commitments and next steps arising from project and governance meetings. Operational and transversal tasks: Identify needs and opportunities arising from strategic projects and translate them into structured workplans. Contribute to the mapping and monitoring of strategic initiatives, identifying potential synergies and opportunities for collaboration. Coordinate with relevant functional areas, such as legal, finance, HR and communications, to support the effective implementation of strategic initiatives. Support the preparation and follow-up of documentation required for collaboration with external providers and partners when needed. WE OFFER: A full-time contract with a trial period. Competitive salary ranging from €40,000 to €45,000 gross per year, depending on the candidate’s profile and experience. THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Dynamic, highly motivated, creative and proactive professional with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrable experience in project management, preferably in complex, multi-stakeholder environments (healthcare, research, consultancy or similar). Experience in the design, implementation and follow-up of strategic or institutional projects (e.g. development of strategic plans, internationalisation initiatives, clinical or research programmes). Fluent spoken and written English. A functional level of Spanish and Catalan is expected within a reasonable period after hiring. Excellent writing, synthesis and presentation skills, with the ability to produce high-quality strategic documents for senior management. Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with a wide range of collaborators and stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. NICE TO HAVE: Previous experience in a consultancy firm and/or within the management structure of a biomedical, healthcare or academic institution. Postgraduate degree or specialised training in Biomedical Sciences, Project Management, Health Management, Business Administration, International Relations or related fields. Experience in the development of operational plans, governance models, sustainability plans or business cases for strategic initiatives. Knowledge of the local, national and international healthcare and research ecosystems and their main actors. Familiarity with international collaboration, partnerships or global health projects will be an asset.
