PROJECT MANAGER I
Grade 11/Exempt
Reports to: Vice President Strategy
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact to both internal and external members. Essential Duties
- Assisting with the implementation of new growth strategies, new products and services, and relationships and processes that generate significant value to our members and the organization.
- Administer the MFCU Project Portfolio - maintaining project timelines, resource heat maps, department project tracking, and other necessary reporting.
- Assist project manager team with coordinating a variety of projects - managing scope, schedule, resources, risks/issues, and cost.
- Research and gather data/resources for decision-making purposes. Most times, offer the information in a presentation format.
- Build relationships and work closely with internal departments and outside firms/vendors to ensure successful executions
- Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through America's Credit Unions within first year of service with M1.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Communicate with project stakeholders on a regular basis with concentration on giving updates, confirming timelines, and tracking work progress.
- Develop progress reports and lists of requirements.
- Help to identify and communicate any foreseen roadblocks or challenges interfering with a successful project completion.
- Fulfill any project team requests for information, tasks, coordination, etc.
- Interface with staff and/or members as needed to convey intended goal.
- Offer insight, thoughts based on experience, and ideas on strategies and projects to ensure positive outcomes.
- Provide support in project planning, budget preparation, resource management, time management, and risk management activities.
- Perform cost/benefit analyses for projects.
- Attend educational opportunities and meetings as required. Prepare pre and post write-ups on the educational experience and ideas for implementation.
- Fulfill other duties that may be assigned outside of the above specifics
- Coordinate, document, and record meeting decisions for enterprise and department projects.

- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and /or outside the organization generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information, which may require some discussion
- Effectively apply and maintain financial counseling concepts, gained through America's Credit Unions' Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP), to promote financial well-being.

- Able to remain stationary for 2-4 hours at a time.
Work Environment
- Must maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Routinely clean and disinfect work areas (i.e. teller stations, desk surfaces, phones, electronic equipment).
- Protect the confidentiality of credit union staff and members by locking door or removing items from desk/workstation when away.
Education and Experience
- One to two years similar or related experience
- A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., project management certifications in lieu of a degree).
