Position Summary

Our team is seeking a Project Manager II to lead strategic initiatives that improve business performance, strengthen governance, and deliver measurable operational and financial value.

This position serves as both a project leader and business problem solver, partnering across Supply Chain, Sourcing, Finance, Accounts Payable, Operations, Technology, and external partners to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and drive execution.

The successful candidate will thrive in complex and evolving environments, combining project management, business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision making. This role requires someone who can navigate ambiguity, influence without direct authority, remove barriers, and drive results from concept through implementation. The ideal candidate will also possess a curiosity for emerging technologies, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities, with the ability to identify opportunities where technology can create business value.

Responsibilities

Strategic Initiative Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives from planning through implementation
  • Establish governance structures, operating rhythms, reporting processes, and accountability mechanisms
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple business units and stakeholder groups
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Facilitate leadership discussions and support executive decision-making
  • Ensure initiatives remain focused on delivering measurable business outcomes
  • Evaluate business challenges through both process and technology lenses, identifying opportunities where analytics, automation, AI, or system capabilities can improve outcomes

Business Analysis & Opportunity Identification

  • Analyze operational, financial, supplier, contract, and business process data to identify opportunities for improvement and value creation
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights and recommendations
  • Support development of business cases, value estimates, performance metrics, and executive reporting
  • Partner with stakeholders to validate findings and assess opportunities
  • Track and report realized operational and financial benefits

Project Governance & Execution

  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, issue logs, risk registers, and executive dashboards
  • Monitor initiative performance against established objectives and timelines
  • Provide transparency into progress, risks, decisions, and required actions
  • Drive accountability across matrixed teams and stakeholders
  • Ensure governance processes support long-term sustainability and success

Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong partnerships across business functions and leadership teams
  • Support communication and change management activities necessary to support adoption and execution
  • Influence decisions through collaboration, problem-solving, and data-driven recommendations
  • Help teams navigate change while maintaining focus on strategic objectives

Required/Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years related work experience
  • In lieu of Bachelor's degree(s) AND 5 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 9 year(s) related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business administration, Project Management, Supply Chain, Analytics, Finance, or related field
  • Five or more years of experience leading projects, programs, business initiatives, or operational improvement efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution through influence rather than direct authority
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with data to identify insights and support business decisions
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Experience leading governance, compliance, transformation, or value-realization programs
  • Experience working with procurement, sourcing, supplier, contract, financial, or operational data
  • Experience developing executive-level reporting and presentations
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, or business transformation initiatives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and related business tools
  • Experience evaluating or implementing technology-enabled business solutions, automation, analytics, AI, or digital transformation initiatives

  • Build and sustain alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Use data and facts to influence decisions and recommendations
  • Navigate ambiguity and make progress despite incomplete information
  • Balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution
