The Indirect Distribution team optimises Accor's indirect distribution ecosystem by managing GDS connectivity, corporate and agency distribution tools, strategic partner relationships and the commercial frameworks that drive profitable business to our hotels. Within this team, the Project Manager leads key projects supporting the indirect distribution strategy and coordinates the business operations related to GDS contracts and partner engagements (around two thirds project management, one third budget and financial follow-up). The role is part of Global Sales & Revenue, working with Accor HQ departments and business units around the world.
Projects & partner connectivity: Lead and support projects within the Indirect Distribution team to deliver the strategy of Global Sales & Revenue, working closely with the TMC and Product teams:
- Manage GDS and connectivity projects end to end
- Support GDS commercial agreements and partner contract discussions (GDS, IDS such as Derbysoft and RateGain)
- Contribute to the development of travel agent tools and platforms (Learn with Us, Travelpros, Leisure Groups Online, ALPP)
- Identify and drive long-term solutions to recurring connectivity issues
- Ad hoc reporting, analysis and presentation preparation
Finance & budget: Management of the GDS/IDS process end to end, including:
- Maintaining a monthly view of GDS and IDS fees
- Processing POs and payments for specified distribution partners via ASPEN
- Co-ordinating the feedback required for the quarterly budget reviews
- Supporting meetings with the Finance team to adjust the annual budget where needed
- Supporting the preparation of the annual budget, meeting all deadlines
Communication & Support: Support the creation of material for hotels and/or other internal teams:
- Annually review and adapt the GDS media kit, sharing the final version with Hotel Sales Relations for distribution
- Support hotels in responding to requests for media campaigns
- Support the ongoing analysis of media campaigns, revising the guidelines for hotels and business units accordingly
- Maintain the Indirect Distribution team's SharePoint files and linked documents in Showpad
- Master's degree (business school, university or equivalent)
- 2 to 5 years of work experience
- First experience in project management
- Strong Excel skills (budget tracking and forecasting); MS Office to a high standard
- Fluent in English – spoken and written
- Nice to have: knowledge of hotel or travel distribution (GDS, TMCs, OTAs, airlines), experience with a purchasing/ERP tool (e.g. ASPEN, SAP), first exposure to partner negotiation
- Organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
