The Project Manager – LMS Implementations develops and advances client relationships while leading large-scale, complex Learning Management System (LMS) implementation programs and projects for Kineo, in line with the terms and conditions of each project contract. The role carries no direct reports: success depends on the individual's ability to plan, coordinate, and motivate cross-functional and client-side teams through influence rather than formal authority. Key Responsibilities Area Responsibilities Client & Stakeholder Management • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and issues, managing expectations and satisfaction across all project requirements to build positive references and success stories. • Communicate a clear vision of each LMS implementation's objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance. Project Planning & Delivery • Plan and manage the execution of LMS implementation projects across the full lifecycle, from initiation through to close. • Coordinate configuration, data and content migration, integrations, and user acceptance testing (UAT) with technical, instructional design, and client teams. • Ensure proper use of methodology, tools, procedures, and governance to best meet project objectives. • Proactively identify changes in scope and work with stakeholders to reassess and amend scope, budget, and timeline as needed. Financial & Commercial Management • Manage the financial aspects of each project, including budgeting and estimate-to-actual variance. Risk & Governance • Analyse risk, establish contingency plans, and identify trigger events for risk-mitigating action. • Escalate issues early to account management or delivery management. • Ensure adherence to enterprise project management methodology, standards, and processes. Team Leadership & Mentorship • Lead and motivate matrixed project teams without formal reporting authority, setting a clear direction and holding contributors accountable to project commitments. • Mentor project team members on project management methodology, standards, and best practice. Person Specification Requirement (*essential) • Bachelor's degree with a total of 8–12 years of professional experience. • Minimum 5 years of project management experience delivering projects – ideally including LMS, software, or other technology implementations – using a formal project management methodology. • Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools, with good understanding and experience of both traditional (waterfall) and Agile approaches. • Working knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS) implementation processes, such as platform configuration, data/content migration, third-party integrations, and user acceptance testing. • A clear vision of what determines a successful project for both the customer and the enterprise. • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change. • Ability to negotiate consensus among diverse groups, including outside the formal reporting structure – essential given this role delivers through influence rather than direct authority. • Conceptual, analytical thinking and decision-making skills. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines and communicate effectively with senior management, clients, peers, and team members. Desirable skills • PMP, PRINCE2, or other recognised project management certification. • Demonstrated experience building and leading project teams in a matrixed environment, even without formal line-management authority. • Familiarity with eLearning and instructional design workflows, and experience collaborating with Learning & Development or content teams.
