Our Reconnecting River Country Program team is currently seeking to appoint a Project Officer to support the delivery of projects that help maintain sustainable and equitable access to water resources across New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental outcomes while working with a diverse range of stakeholders and technical specialists.
As a Project Officer, you will provide project management support across a range of initiatives within the Reconnecting River Country Program, including stakeholder engagement, research and analysis, project reporting, and coordination of project activities. You will work closely with government agencies, community groups, consultants and technical experts to support project delivery, facilitate consultation processes, and contribute to informed decision-making. The role also provides an opportunity to utilise GIS capabilities and data analysis to support water management outcomes while working within a collaborative, high-performing team committed to delivering sustainable environmental and community benefits.
About You
You will bring:
- Experience supporting the delivery of projects, including planning, coordination, reporting and monitoring activities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across government, industry and community groups.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake research, analyse information and provide evidence-based advice and recommendations.
- Knowledge or experience in water planning, natural resource management, agriculture, environmental science or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and achieving positive environmental outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, briefs and presentations for diverse audiences.
