Are you a proactive project professional who enjoys bringing people, processes and outcomes together?
About the Role
Are you a proactive project professional who enjoys bringing people, processes and outcomes together? We are looking for a Project Officer to play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of the NSWSER Program, playing a pivotal role in delivering one of NSW's most significant gambling reform initiatives.
In this role, you'll work closely with project leads and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard.
A significant part of the role involves partnering with internal stakeholders, customers and vendors to support project outcomes. You'll gather and analyse information, prepare project briefs, reports and presentations, and provide insights that support evidence-based decision-making.
This role would suit someone who enjoys balancing project coordination, stakeholder engagement and analytical work, while contributing to initiatives that deliver meaningful business outcomes.
About You
You are a highly organised and proactive project professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
You have experience supporting ICT project delivery and understand what is required to keep multiple streams of work progressing simultaneously. You can confidently coordinate meetings, manage actions, monitor project progress and maintain high-quality project documentation without losing sight of deadlines or priorities.
You build strong working relationships quickly and can communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, from subject matter experts and operational teams through to senior leaders and vendors. You know how to navigate competing viewpoints, follow up on commitments and keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
You are also naturally curious and analytical, whether analysing risks and issues, identifying interdependencies, preparing a project brief or options papers, you can translate raw data to meaningful information, and derive clear insights to provide practical recommendations.
What You'll Bring
- Experience coordinating ICT projects or project workstreams within a government, corporate or complex organisational environment.
- Strong project administration and governance skills, including creating and maintaining schedules, action registers, risk and issue logs, reports and project documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Experience facilitating meetings, working groups or consultations and ensuring actions are progressed to completion.
- Well-developed research, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prepare briefings, reports and recommendations.
- A collaborative, outcomes-focused approach and a commitment to delivering projects that achieve measurable results.
- Experience coordinating the delivery of documentation on technical projects
- Knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Office and project management suite of tools would be highly beneficial.
