Who we are

My Nerdy Teacher creates digital learning resources for kids ages 3 to 12. We started our journey in 2014, and we have been growing ever since. We make printable books, worksheets, games and activities that cover reading, math, writing and social-emotional skills. Customers buy our products and print them themselves.

We sell our products on our own online store, membership site and 3rd party platforms. Teachers use our resources in class every day and parents use them for practice at home.

  • 300,000+ teachers have used our resources
  • 100,000+ five-star reviews
  • Customers across the US, Australia and Canada

We're a small remote team of 10 full time people plus contractors. Most of the team is based in Cluj-Napoca, with teammates in the US, LATAM and the Philippines.

Why this role exists

We always have 4 to 5 products in the pipeline, with resources shifting between concurrent projects. We need someone to own the plan, the priorities and the process.

What success looks like

  • First 90 days: you fully own product delivery, from brief to launch. Every active project has an owner, a timeline and visible blockers.
  • First year: the whole pipeline runs on systems you built.

This role offers an opportunity to grow into Head of Operations as you take on broader operational responsibility.

What you'll do

Project management (about 70%)

  • Manage 4 to 5 product projects at once, from brief to launch
  • Identify which team members from the internal bench get assigned to each project, balance workloads, plan cover
  • Keep deadlines, dependencies, and hand-offs on track
  • Run kickoffs, check-ins and launch checklists, and coordinate publishing
  • Keep our Asana and Notion up to date

Operations and admin (about 30%)

  • Build and document our SOPs
  • Handle people ops: contracts, onboarding, days off, cover
  • Coordinate marketing deliverables, product fixes, membership site processes, and asset libraries
  • Track project spending
  • Set up tools, templates, and how-to guides

What we're looking for

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years of project management and operations experience
  • Experience running several projects at once
  • Experience managing contractors and solving conflicts while keeping launch dates
  • The habit of reporting project health and risks before anyone asks
  • Processes you built and documented that kept running after you moved on
  • Fluent English

Nice to haves:

  • A background in e-commerce, edtech, publishing or software
  • Hands-on Asana or Notion setup, not just use

You are

  • Super organized. You track every commitment and follow up before deadlines slip.
  • Independent. You bring proposals of process improvement, instead of waiting for instructions.
  • A system builder. When something breaks twice, you fix the process.
  • Energized by variety. This role covers a lot of ground.

How we work together

  • Full-time, based anywhere in Romania (Cluj-Napoca is a plus)
  • Flexible hours
  • Our US team works async. No evening or weekend calls. If something is urgent, you escalate it.

What we offer

  • 15,000 to 20,000 RON net per month (Where you land depends on years of experience and how much of the operations side you can take on)
  • Yearly performance bonus
  • Yearly performance review and salary renegotiation
  • 24 paid days off, plus your birthday
  • A yearly learning budget for courses, books or certifications
  • Paid tools, including AI tools
  • An opportunity to grow into Head of Operations
  • A yearly in-person team meetup

Our process: screening call, skills interview, reference check, final conversation.
