The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accurate schedules, documentation, and communications. This position offers the opportunity to support critical electric utility infrastructure projects that improve reliability, system performance, and customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate electric distribution design projects through planning, design, permitting, construction, and project closeout.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, providing project updates and responding to inquiries.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Coordinate activities between project managers, designers, engineers, permitting agencies, contractors, and utility stakeholders.
  • Review project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client requirements.
  • Support permitting, easement, and municipal approval processes as required.
  • Maintain project records and documentation within company and client systems.
  • Track customer contributions, invoices, billing activities, and project financial information.
  • Assist with preparation of project reports, dashboards, and status updates for leadership and clients.
  • Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to identify and resolve project issues.
  • Participate in customer meetings, project review meetings, and operational discussions.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control efforts for project deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure project activities comply with client standards, company procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, utility operations, engineering support, construction administration, or a related environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate project documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting electric utility distribution projects.
  • Familiarity with electric distribution design and construction processes.
  • Experience with GIS, work management systems, project tracking software, or utility databases.
  • Knowledge of permitting, municipal coordination, easement acquisition, or right-of-way processes.
  • Experience working directly with utility customers, contractors, and field personnel.
  • Understanding of overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
