Salary Range: $55,800.00 To $65,700.00 Annually Updated: July 2026 Title: Benefits Plans & Services P&C Insurance Specialist Staff Group: Benefits Plans & Services Reports To: Director of Benefits Plans & Services Location: Remote* Grade: PS2 Hours/Week: 35 *Location is open in the continental United States. You should have easy access to a major airport due to the travel requirements of this position. Purpose To handle a wide range of BPS and P&C functions that support the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) national staff, plan participants, UU Affinity organizations and vendors with a specific scope of total rewards. To provide responsive, strategic, result oriented front-line insurance services and support to all UUA and Beacon Press Staff and stakeholders. Principal Responsibilities Support the BPS department and Property & Casualty (P&C) priorities of production and it’s service functions to increase annual renewal outcomes.  Accountable for delivering high quality and efficient service to both UUA congregations/Affinity membership and external vendor partners through the day-to-day engagement. Successfully manage congregation renewal inquires and provide resolution on P&C matters as they arise. Build and solidify relationships with congregations and Affinity partners within UU ecosystem by providing excellent ongoing care that support our mission and values. Gather exposure information, run queries, conduct variance a nalyses and update carrier performance dashboard for underwriting and claims. Interpret regulatory compliance and risk trends, evaluate congregation risk alternatives and ensure policy data aligns with governance standard . Create documents, certificates, etc. using appropriate systems and resources, which may include communications -direct outreach with congregations, forms, certificates, reports, etc.  Coordinates appropriate carrier and Broker resources to address the congregations' P&C insurance needs. Cross-collaborate with members of BPS department to support operational process flow. Process all BPS vendor invoices. Update / conduct quarterly review of congregations P&C premium summary sheet.   Assist BPS Director with overall P&C workflow processes. Provide direct administrative support to the Director of Benefits Plans & Services. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor, the Vice Presidents, or the President. This is a position with a salary midpoint of $65,700 . Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographical location, with offers potentially ranging from 10-15% higher or lower than the midpoint. Requirements Include: Qualifications Minimum education:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related discipline. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in General Insurance, Claims and Risk Management, Property & Casualty experience highly preferred. AIC, ARM, CIC, INS Certification required in place of formal educational degree Strong written and communication skills. Proficiency and knowledge of P&C andInsurance Claims, Risk Management,Risk Management Systems.
