Our Newest Opportunity: The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing billing processes for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance agency accounts within a centralized billing structure. This role ensures accurate invoicing and resolution of billing discrepancies while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Billing Operations Generate and process invoices for agency-billed P&C policies in accordance with established timelines. Validate premium amounts, endorsements, and adjustments before issuing bills. Ensure billing accuracy by reviewing broker invoices and carrier binders/quotes, checking policy screen set up (commission, payable entity, producer commission) before transacting Agency Support Serve as the primary point of contact for agency billing inquiries with local office service teams. Work with local service teams on premium finance questions and clarification as necessary. Assist agencies with understanding centralized billing processes and system navigation. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline billing workflows and enhance efficiency. Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new billing tools. Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in billing/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, centralized environment with multiple stakeholders. Customer Service Orientation Analytical Thinking Time Management Team Collaboration Adaptability to Change Education, Training and Experience: Experience: 2+ years in insurance billing, accounting, or related financial operations; P&C insurance experience is strongly preferred. The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $60,000 to $65,000 per year . Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
