Based at our Norwich office, which offers free on-site parking, you'll become part of a friendly and collaborative claims function of over 25 claims professionals. Within the wider team, you'll join a dedicated Property Claims team comprising three experienced Claims Handlers and a Claims Administrator, providing a supportive environment with plenty of opportunity to develop your knowledge and career.

In this role, you'll take ownership of your own caseload of claims and handle a varied portfolio of property claims on a non-delegated authority basis, managing buildings-related losses across private residential, commercial and high-net-worth properties.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with insurance claims experience who enjoys building relationships, delivering exceptional customer service and guiding clients through what can often be a difficult and stressful time.

Following successful completion of probation, you'll benefit from a hybrid working arrangement, combining office and home working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own caseload of property claims from notification through to settlement on a non-delegated authority basis

  • Handling a wide range of buildings-related claims across private residential, commercial and high-net-worth property portfolios

  • Supporting clients throughout the claims process, providing guidance, reassurance and regular updates to ensure a positive customer experience

  • Liaising and negotiating with insurers, clients, loss adjusters, surveyors and other relevant parties to progress claims efficiently and achieve the best possible outcomes

  • Advising clients on policy coverage and the immediate and ongoing actions required following a loss

  • Preparing claims reports for Account Handlers and Executives to support client review meetings

About You:

To be successful in this role, you'll have previous insurance claims experience, excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.

You'll also have:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Experience with Microsoft packages, i.e Outlook, Word, Excel

  • Experience handling property claims would be advantageous

  • Previous experience dealing with subsidence claims would be highly beneficial, although this is not essential

  • The desire to work towards CII qualifications (desirable but not essential)

Rewards & Benefits:

When you join us, you'll become part of a supportive and collaborative culture, with access to a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Competitive salary with annual salary reviews and a bonus scheme

  • 27 days annual leave, including a day off for your birthday and a day for a religious holiday of your choice, plus bank holidays

  • Auto-enrolment into our excellent pension scheme with 5% employer matched contributions

  • Flexible benefits package, allowing you to choose the benefits that matter most to you

  • Group Life Assurance cover

  • Three months' fully paid Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave

  • Professional qualification support relevant to your role and career development

  • Perks at Work, offering fantastic discounts on cinema tickets, dining, travel, retail and more

  • Holiday purchase scheme, allowing you to buy up to 5 additional days' annual leave each year

  • Free on-site parking

  • Hybrid working following successful completion of probation
