This role supports the administration of team workflows, liaising with contractors and customers to ensure maintenance queries are handled efficiently. It requires proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, along with strong communication skills across email, Microsoft Teams, and telephone. The ability to work to deadlines as part of a team will be key. An understanding of property and building maintenance would be useful; however, full training will be provided. The Asset Management and Performance Team is focussed on improving the operation of the Council’s property assets by leading on new projects to enhance the operation of our premises. The team maintain policy as well as property information and facilitate collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The whole team sits at the front of the council’s key strategic insight and pursues opportunities to maintain and improve the council’s premises portfolio for new requirements and its ever-evolving function. This role supports the Property Service Hub Team, managing and coordinating queries from internal and external customers across a broad range of property services. It involves working closely with both internal teams and external contractors who deliver these services. The primary responsibility is to accurately log and allocate work requests to the appropriate team or contractor, while ensuring customers are kept informed of the progress. Key requirements include proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes and database systems, strong communication skills across email, Teams, and telephone, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet deadlines. We are looking for candidates with: Customer service skills. Competent and accurate computer skills Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Outlook, Word and Excel).
