We have an exciting opportunity to join the Rehoming central services team as a Rehoming Support Officer. The Rehoming Support Officer provides both operational and tactical support to colleagues across the Rehoming department, with a focus on improving day-to-day systems and processes for our network of rehoming centres. By delivering specialist events, cultivating continuous improvement and ensuring centres are equipped with everything they need, this role provides efficient and effective support for our centre teams. This role is a fixed term contract until 2 July 2027. What does this role do? As Rehoming Support Officer, you will: be responsible for the management, organisation and delivery of Rehoming department events, meetings and conferences as required, proactively identify and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement of existing processes in rehoming centres, as well as assisting the Rehoming Support Manager with the transition of pilot programmes into business-as-usual ways of working, provide support with the procurement of key equipment for the rehoming centres, in the absence of the Rehoming Support Manager, act as a point of contact for rehoming operational matters, create and manage appropriate interdepartmental communications, update, maintain and where required produce branded materials for the Rehoming department in collaboration with appropriate colleagues in the organisation, manage queries in the shared inbox, raise purchase requests and action good receipts. To be successful in this role, you'll have experience in a busy team support role with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. You'll also have experience in event organisation, including major conferences and meetings. You'll have strong communication skills and will be able to develop and maintain good working relations with colleagues at all levels. You will be self-motivated and confident in managing a varied workload. You will also have strong IT skills and experience in developing and maintaining administrative processes and procedures.
