The Role This contract-based, hourly consulting position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Oregon’s property tax protest system who can serve as a trusted advisor during our early market entry. There is also potential for this opportunity to evolve into a mutually beneficial partnership as we expand our property tax offering in Oregon. What You’ll Do As our Property Tax Appeals Consultant, you will support Abode Money’s team by providing: Regulatory Insight: Clarifying Oregon statutes, administrative processes, and compliance requirements related to property tax protests. County-Specific Knowledge: Advising on local nuances and requirements for major Oregon counties. Filing Processes: Guiding the team on petition filing, timelines (TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence submissions), and differences between online/paper processes. Hearing Procedures: Offering best practices for navigating hearings and preparing effective property tax protests. Who You Are You are an ideal fit if you: Have direct experience in Oregon’s property tax system—through your own practice, an established firm, or a government office. Possess deep knowledge of county-level procedures, deadlines, and regulations, especially in Oregon’s five largest counties. Combine innovative thinking with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance. Are available to consult on an as-needed, hourly basis via phone or Zoom.
