Summary:

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Public Health Analyst II to provide coordination and support for surveillance and special projects focused on healthcare-associated and/or antimicrobial resistant pathogens and infections (ERIB).

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide programmatic and scientific technical knowledge to CDC SMEs on administration of public health surveillance and applied research activities related to healthcare-associated pathogens.
  • Facilitate communication with internal and external partners and respond to requests.
  • Facilitate project conference calls, webinars, and in-person meetings, including agenda development and meeting summaries.
  • Identify and analyze public health issues and their impact on policies, studies, or surveys.
  • Analyze study or project implementation procedures for improvement.
  • Work with program specialists and/or scientists to develop viable implementation procedures and coordinate changes.
  • Perform day-to-day project management tasks to ensure objectives are accomplished; recommend or take corrective action.
  • Participate with scientists and program consultants in project development, including literature/data reviews and summary preparation.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, 2–4 site visits, and other gatherings to ensure communication and evaluate progress.
  • Prepare summary reports on progress toward project completion.
  • Organize and synthesize scientific or technical materials prepared by different parties.
  • Participate during CDC response activities and training exercises under direction of the DHQP Team Lead; duties include staffing the EOC desk to help support CDC's mission.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and work professionally and collegially with a highly educated, scientific customer base that is under pressure and in the public eye every day.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently, be solution-oriented, motivated, and committed to customer and company success.
  • Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities.
  • Expertise in project management tools and software, including but not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, and OneNote.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree plus 3–5 years of relevant work experience in a relevant public health or related field.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000 annually.
