Public Health Analyst II (SB)

Summary:

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Public Health Analyst II to provide NHSN activities support within the Surveillance Branch (SB).

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Review, analyze, and evaluate written material, statistical data, and other information to develop recommendations for program needs.
• Use qualitative and quantitative methods to assess progress toward program goals and objectives.
• Disseminate scientific information related to HAI and NHSN data via presentations, reports, slides, and other materials.
• Schedule and plan agendas for appointments and meetings; prepare minutes and follow up on action items.
• Present lectures, webinars, and workshops.
• Revise and develop curricula and teaching materials, including web-based and CD-ROM content, for national dissemination.
• Prepare and track data collection requests.
• Review and develop website materials and communications related to infection prevention, surveillance, and response.
• Prepare and present educational trainings about NHSN to professional organizations, partners, and governmental bodies.
• Review user inquiries and prepare direct and generic response documents for user support.
• Participate during CDC response activities and training exercises under direction of the DHQP Team Lead; duties include staffing the EOC desk to help support CDC's mission.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and work professionally and collegially with a highly educated, scientific customer base that is under pressure and in the public eye every day.
• Demonstrated ability to work well independently, be solution-oriented, motivated, and committed to customer and company success.
• Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities.
• Expertise in project management tools and software, including but not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, and OneNote.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
• Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
• Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000 annually.
