Our clients are often companies on the cusp of the cutting edge. These are emerging forward-thinking tech companies backed by the best VCs.
Despite being a young and growing boutique agency, Eleven International has reached milestones through its commitment to not only its clients, but also its team. If you’re passionate about communications and giving emerging brands a voice on a global platform, this is the place to be.
The Ideal Candidate
You're excited about the prospect of shaping global narratives as it relates to AI, robotics, smartphones, new energy and consumer technology and exhibits diligence in the work that you do.
You'll be coordinating the logistics associated with product reviews, drafting project reports and working hand-in-hand within a team that drives results for our tech clients.
The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator. You must be capable of constantly communicating with your team and supporting multiple clients and projects at once, while still meeting deadlines. Even if you're working remotely, it doesn't exclude you from managing client work throughout your day, however you decide to structure it.
Our clients often lean on our expertise to guide or lead their communications and marketing strategies. Candidates are expected to be voracious readers of current events and news and must be quick to pick up trends in our clients’ industries.
You’ll be expected to learn the ropes toward eventually working with global technology and business journalists.
Additional preferred qualities:
- English & Mandarin Speaker – For this role you’ll need to be a capable communicator in English and Mandarin, preferably both spoken and written, across various formats.
- Flexible Hours – Our clients are primarily based in Asia, so we’re looking for a candidate who’s able to support our team in the Hong Kong time zone, while being a reliable go-to contact for our clients.
- Detail Oriented – You’re able to learn from mistakes and self-implement processes to ensure that details don’t go unnoticed even under pressure.
- In-House Background – Tech companies are chaotic; knowing the process or having experienced it yourself is important and a plus so you can understand the clients’ point of view.
- Go-Getter - Able to take the initiative, and not be afraid to ask questions. The more you learn, the more you offer, and the larger the opportunity to grow with the business.
- Diligent - You must exhibit qualities of persistence and fortitude, regardless of the challenges you face amid client pressures or tight deadlines.
- Great Communicator – While the role not surprisingly involves external communication, you’re also expected to excel in internal communication, and as a small agency, there’s nothing more important than an open and reliable channel of communication within your team.
- Team Player – There’s a limit to what anyone can achieve alone. We’ve built a strong, supportive team of professionals who step in to help at a moment’s notice.
Through this you’ll get…
- Exposure to industry-leading tech companies. Get the opportunity to work with clients that consistently build a global profile.
- Fully remote workplace. While the ideal candidate will be HK-based, there’s no physical office and no official office hours.
- Career growth. It’s common for our alumni to later move onto major tech companies despite never having had prior tech industry experience before.
