Lead PR Across Two of APAC's Most Strategic Markets

We are looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager to lead public relations initiatives across Japan and Australia, with the opportunity to expand support across the wider APAC region.

This role is ideal for a communications professional who enjoys developing regional PR strategies, building strong media relationships, managing agencies, and delivering measurable business impact through high-quality communications.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies, you will help strengthen brand awareness, thought leadership, and media engagement across key international markets.

What You'll Do

PR Strategy & Campaign Management

• Develop and execute quarterly regional PR plans aligned with business objectives.
• Deliver integrated PR campaigns across Japan and Australia.
• Identify opportunities to increase brand visibility and media engagement.
• Measure campaign effectiveness through agreed KPIs.

Media Relations

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, media outlets, and industry influencers.
• Secure media interviews and speaking opportunities.
• Manage proactive and reactive media communications.

Content Development

Create and manage:

• Press releases
• Thought leadership articles
• Bylines
• Newsletters
• Executive communications
• Event communications
• Media briefing materials

Agency Management

• Manage day-to-day relationships with regional PR agencies.
• Coordinate campaign execution.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery.

Reporting & Analytics

• Monitor media coverage and industry trends.
• Track PR KPIs and campaign performance.
• Prepare regular executive reports and recommendations.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Marketing, Communications, Leadership, and external agencies.
• Align PR initiatives with regional business priorities.
• Support cross-functional communications activities.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

✔ Fluent English and Japanese (written and spoken)

✔ Proven experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Media Relations

✔ Experience managing PR agencies

✔ Strong understanding of the Japanese and Australian media landscapes

✔ Experience developing regional PR strategies and campaigns

✔ Strong media relationship management skills

✔ Experience creating press releases, executive communications, newsletters, and thought leadership content

✔ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ APAC regional communications experience

⭐ Experience supporting B2B technology or enterprise software organizations

⭐ Experience organizing executive speaking opportunities

⭐ Strong analytical and PR reporting skills
