Project C Foundation – We care for your mental health, is a Non-Profit Organization that aims to provide everyone with mental and emotional support, raise, educate, and spread the importance of mental health wellness to end the stigma associated with it which unfortunately still exists in the 21st century. It aims to be the first go-to place for anyone who is seeking help to deal with their mental health issues, anytime and anywhere around the globe through the help of our voluntary personal and professional support. In other words, Project C aims to be the mental distress/crisis first aid and care center of the world.
Role Summary
We are seeking an energetic, strategic, and creative Public Relations Manager (Volunteer) to bring fresh perspectives, elevate our brand presence, and lead a dynamic team of PR Interns. In this role, you will oversee public relations strategy, serve as a mentor to emerging PR talent, and manage campaigns that amplify our mission globally.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic PR & Campaign Leadership
Drive PR Strategy: Conceptualize and execute high-impact publicity strategies and campaigns to boost global awareness of mental health wellness.
Fresh Perspectives: Bring innovative, modern ideas to position Project C Foundation as the primary global first aid/crisis center for mental health.
Media & Outreach Management: Draft, edit, and approve high-level press releases, media kits, and official organizational statements.
Public Representation: Serve as a spokesperson for interviews, promotional events, live panels, and public presentations when needed.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead PR Interns: Directly manage, guide, and support a team of Public Relations Interns, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Delegate & Review: Assign tasks, review press material/social messaging, and ensure quality and brand alignment across all PR outputs.
Skill Development: Mentor interns to build their work ethics, strategic thinking, and PR execution skills.
Stakeholder & Performance Management
Inquiry Oversight: Supervise responses to media, public, and institutional inquiries to maintain a positive public image.
Analytics & Research: Oversee media coverage analysis and commission relevant market research to continuously refine outreach efforts.
Job Specifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience: Proven experience in PR, corporate communications, or media relations. Prior leadership or team management experience is strongly preferred.
Creativity & Innovation: Ability to bring fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to non-profit PR campaigns.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong public speaking confidence.
Social Media & Tech Savvy: Deep understanding of major social media platforms, digital media trends, and press distribution channels.
Availability: Able to start immediately for a 3-month remote volunteer commitment.
Passion: High energy, empathy, and a strong drive to end mental health stigma globally.
