Position Objective:
To provide essential administrative and organizational support to the Publications Department by managing routine details, assisting with project coordination, and ensuring that all follow-through and wrap-up tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform day-to-day clerical duties, including digital filing, organizing document folders, scheduling meetings, and general correspondence
• Help maintain production schedules for PETA Global and other publications
• Archive and index completed publications
• Arrange mailings of thank-you copies to PETA Global contributors and featured individuals
• Research content for PETA Global as requested
• Review cookbooks and blogs to find recipe content
• Liaise with PETA entities to gather entity content
• Help compile the photo and URL lists for PETA Global
• Help gather visual content, schedule photo shoots, and obtain usage rights agreements
• Compile and maintain SOPs for the production of PETA Global and other publications
• Update and maintain our lists of animal-friendly cartoonists and photographers
• Brainstorm ways to use AI to improve department functions and organization
• Assist with the publication of quarterly reports, other guides, and booklets
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
• Degree in a related field, project management experience, or equivalent applicable experience
• Experience producing written and visual content
• Demonstrated exceptional research and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to work cooperatively and independently, and to manage multiple projects
• Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proven exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Proven ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
The hourly pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.30 per hour. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
