Python Developer (W2 Only / No C2C)

Description Our clients Infrastructure & Architecture team, within Institutional Securities, is building a strategic Metadata Hub that will serve as a foundational component for data governance, lineage, and traceability across Finance Technology. This initiative is focused on enabling AI-driven workflows and agentic capabilities while ensuring regulatory compliance, auditability, and end-to-end data transparency. The team is creating a semantic layer and knowledge graph that will support how Finance Technology discovers, understands, and utilizes data across the organization. This is a highly visible initiative with broad impact across the firm. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer who can independently take business requirements, design solutions, and build production-ready features with minimal oversight. This is not a maintenance role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives in complex enterprise environments and has experience delivering scalable applications within large financial institutions. Top Skills · Strong Object oriented Python Development · Angular Development on the frontend to own end to end full stack development · AI Enablement Tools (Ability to leverage Coding Assistants, Agentic Coding, AI-Augmented Development) Responsibilities · Design, develop, and deploy scalable full stack applications using Python and Angular. · Partner with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready solutions. · Build features that support metadata management, data lineage, governance, and traceability. · Develop APIs, backend services, and front-end interfaces for enterprise-scale applications. · Contribute to the design and development of semantic layer and knowledge graph capabilities. · Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and code quality. · Participate in code reviews, solution design discussions, and technical troubleshooting. · Collaborate with globally distributed teams across multiple business and technology organizations. Required Qualifications · 8+ years of professional Python development experience. · 3+ years of Angular development experience. · Experience building and delivering enterprise-grade full stack applications. ·Experience supporting Tier 1 global banking or financial services organizations. · Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including application design, testing, and code reviews. · Ability to work independently and deliver complete features from requirements through production deployment. · Strong communication skills and experience working directly with technical and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications · Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks. · Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, data governance, or knowledge graph technologies. · Familiarity with AI-enabled software development tools, agentic workflows, and coding assistants. · Experience working within highly regulated environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $88.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
