About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Analyst 1 to join our delivery teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a high-volume, global payment platform that influences millions of users daily. The position is currently remote within the Greater Boston Area, with a future requirement to work in a hybrid model (three days in the Boston office). As part of a cross-functional agile team, you will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your responsibilities will include supporting quality engineering activities, designing and executing test plans, automating tests, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. About The Role

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of practical experience in Quality Assurance or Test Automation roles, supporting automated and manual testing activities with Microservices APIs
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, including creating and maintaining automated tests (e.g., Selenium)
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, including test planning, risk-based testing, and estimation
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Experience with agile testing practices like BDD, TDD, and tools such as Karate or Cucumber
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Java
- Ability to analyze requirements and user stories to identify risks and develop effective test coverage
- Knowledge of quality management tools, techniques, and continuous improvement processes
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Interest in AI and experience with AI tools is a plus
- Experience working in fintech, payments, or complex global online businesses is advantageous
- Familiarity with Contract testing, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and mocking libraries such as Wiremock
- Exposure to Spring Framework or Spring Boot is a bonus
- Design and plan comprehensive test strategies and test plans for various projects and applications
- Support test planning activities within agile teams, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe frameworks
- Analyze requirements and user stories to understand potential risks and determine appropriate manual and automated testing coverage
- Execute thorough testing, including manual test case execution, exploratory testing, and automated test runs
- Analyze test results to identify quality risks, produce defect reports, and document test completion status
- Support release activities by ensuring all quality standards are met prior to deployment
- Create and maintain automated tests to enhance the existing test suite, leveraging tools like Selenium
- Maintain and improve the test automation framework, contributing to new features, bug fixes, and functionality enhancements
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and keep progress, risks, and quality metrics transparent
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing process enhancements to improve quality and efficiency
